A hydrogen driver needs stations along the route, not a different badge and a different invoice at every one of them. With the FillnDrive private payment system, operators can open their stations to each other's customers through interoperability contracts, and expand the H2 network without building anything new.
A private payment system for each operator
Each operator runs its own closed payment system: its own customers, its own badges, its own prices and its own billing. The operator stays in control of who can refuel and under what conditions. The same system runs on three FillnDrive products, so it fits any station:
- DLS: a certified point of sale (OIML R139) that identifies drivers and vehicles by NFC or BLE, authorizes the refill and reports it. It works with your existing metering calculator.
- Ellipse: an outdoor payment terminal with bank card, NFC badge, mobile app and long-range UHF RFID. This is what we delivered at the Créteil station.
- VCID: a legal metrology calculator (OIML R139) that integrates the payment system directly: NFC badge, mobile app, payment card or UHF RFID.
Whichever product is installed, the customers and badges are managed in the same place, and the same interoperability contracts apply.
Interoperability contracts between customers
Because every operator uses the same FillnDrive platform, whether the station runs DLS, Ellipse or VCID, two operators can agree to open their stations to each other's customers:
- A customer of operator A can refuel at the stations of operator B with their own badge or the FillnDrive mobile app.
- The driver keeps a single relationship and receives a single invoice from their own operator.
- Each operator keeps control of its prices, its customers and its stations.
Simple to set up
Interoperability does not require a new integration project or new hardware at the station. The contract is set up between two operators who already use FillnDrive, and managed alongside the rest of their contracts and mobility offers in the WebPortal. Adding a new partner is a business agreement, not a technical project.
A network that keeps growing
The numbers show it. More refills are registered on FillnDrive every month, and we have passed 1 million refills. Over 20 interoperability contracts are now in place between station operators and mobility operators.
Each new contract adds stations for the drivers of both sides, so H2 drivers can count on a wider network, and operators can reach more customers without any change to their stations.
